Celebrating With Food and Song!

July 13, 2016

“As my husband and I made 'Challah' (bread) for Shabbat with our children, we let each child choose which prayerful song they wanted to listen to…”

Shalom,

I believe that you can only pass on a deep, authentic love for God to your children through joy. Joy is the answer to everything; keeping the family together, keeping your children happy, keeping your marriage strong, and passing on healthy and meaningful faith to the next generation.

As my husband and I made 'Challah' (bread) for Shabbat with our children, we let each child choose which prayerful song they wanted to listen to, and then we took turns dancing with each of them to their chosen song.

This is a video from last year of my son and I dancing to a Hebrew song which translates to:

“Let's all sing together in a strong voice that we have faith. We possess hope which is stronger than any fear. Come sing, be joyful, because we are not alone; we have the One and only Hashem!''

With this type of prayer happening as we cook for Shabbat, I am certain that the food will be the most delicious food in the world!

With blessings from the Holy Land,
Yael
