Recipe: Healthy Gummy Bears!

July 19, 2016

“These natural, homemade gummy bears were so delicious...my kids gobbled them up, with no idea that they were healthy…”

Shalom,

Healthy momma dilemma: My kids love gummy bears.

Healthy momma solution: I made my own…and it only took a total of 5 minutes to throw together!

These natural, homemade gummy bears were so delicious…my kids gobbled them up, with no idea that they were healthy.

Make them at home for your kids or as a personal guilt free snack!

  • In a saucepan, boil together: 1 cup of fresh orange juice (or you can use pomegranate juice to make the gummies pink), 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
  • Boil and mix until the sugar is melted, then slowly add 3 tablespoons of gelatin (I use kosher), mixing until the gelatin is dissolved.
  • Pour the mixture into gummy bear/chocolate molds, place in freezer for 20 minutes, then take out of the freezer and enjoy! No need to store them in the freezer or fridge.

Enjoy! Praying that we always enjoy the sweetest of flavours in the healthiest of ways!

With blessings from the Holy Land,

Yael
