World’s Oldest Man Will Celebrate Bar Mitzvah

“Rabbi Eckstein gave a blessing to all of the new French immigrants and welcomed them home.”

Earlier this week, The Fellowship welcomed new French olim (immigrants) to their new home in Israel!

As immigrants stepped off the plane, Fellowship volunteers welcomed them with balloons, songs, and Israeli flags.

Then, Fellowship representatives hosted an Absorption Seminar to give the new olim more information about their new country, including job searching in Israel, and the Israeli health care and education system.

Today, the olim were taken to the Western Wall, a site for Jewish prayer. The olim then joined The Fellowship’s entire Israel staff and gathered in Jerusalem’s Rose Garden for a Rosh Hashanah toast to celebrate the Jewish New Year.

As the olim entered the garden, they were welcomed with music, singing, and dancing – and Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein was there to greet them, too. He even played his guitar, and many joined in to sing along.

The Israeli performer and singer Dudu Fisher also welcomed the new olim and sang along with the Rabbi.

Then the Rabbi gave a blessing to all of the new French immigrants and welcomed them home.

The festivities ended with a delicious lunch. All of the olim received a beautiful mezuzah case, which has a scroll with a special scripture verse written inside, and a copy of the Hebrew edition of the Rabbi’s book, The Bridge Builder.

When you support The Fellowship’s On Wings of Eagles ministry, your gift helps fulfill biblical prophecy, as foretold in the book of Isaiah: “I will beckon to the Gentiles…they will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders” (Isaiah 49:22).

Let’s bring more Jews to their biblical homeland. Please help with a Freedom Flight today.
