Have you ever visited the Western Wall in the holy city of Jerusalem? It’s a massive, beautiful wall. Have you watched people approach it? Some will touch it, embrace it, weep, or kiss the Wall. I have. People also insert pieces of paper into the Wall, finding little holes, little crevices. People write prayer requests on those pieces of paper. They pray to the Lord at the holiest site in the world. In faith, they believe that if they write their request and put it in the Wall, it brings them closer to God. That’s remarkable, isn’t it?

My Everyday Prayers

In your own life in your own prayer life what matters most? It probably has to do with those closest to you your husband, your wife, your son, your daughter, your brother, your sister, your dearest friends.

That’s the case for me. I think of my mother, who’s 80 years old and is in the final stages of Alzheimer’s. If I were at the Western Wall right now, I’d take my piece of paper and I’d write down prayers for my mama. Then, I would roll out some more paper and I would pray for my son who’s ministering in Eastern Europe. I’d write a prayer for my daughter who’s going to be ministering this weekend. And I’d want to remind the Lord to bless my wife, who loves the Lord supremely, so she may do everything that God has planned for her. I’d pray for the congregation I serve, who continue to be obsessed with the presence and the love of God, that they may be used by His hand. I’d pray that He would help me to continuously grow in the narrative of Israel.

I pray for these things every day. They are part of my regular prayer life. What are yours?

Taking Your Prayers to the Western Wall

Yael Eckstein, President of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews of Canada, is so committed to prayer that she provides the opportunity for me to hear your prayer requests from all over the country through live prayer services with The Fellowship. People share their most intimate needs and I’m able to pray and believe with them.

And we have another very special opportunity coming up! This is the moment you’ve been waiting for. The Fellowship is going to take your requests to the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

Yes, I wish we could go to Israel, but right now travel isn’t that easy for most of us. But you can send your prayer request and know that soon it will be placed in that holy Wall.

You may have never been to Israel. You may have never touched the Wall. You may have never kissed it, embraced it, or placed a message with your personal petition into its cracks. But thanks to technology you can send us your prayers on your computer or phone. You can do it right now don’t put it off. You know what matters most to you.

Don’t Miss This Moment

Every time you turn on the television and see the Western Wall or you open The Fellowship’s social media and see the Wall, you’ll know that your petition for your husband, your children, your brother, your sister or whoever it might be is there, along with hundreds of thousands of others.

Don’t miss this moment. Don’t let it slip by. We’re so blessed with the healing, deliverance, strength, and hope that God provides us. We’re so blessed to be able to pray for you, and to pray for each other. Soon your prayers will be placed in that beautiful, great, holy Wall in Jerusalem… and it’s going to be amazing.
