Did you know that 25 percent of Israeli parents cannot afford basic school supplies for the upcoming school year? That’s what a new survey says, and here’s how IFCJ Canada is going to help:

As Israeli children prepare to head back to school amidst a period of skyrocketing prices for food, electricity and many other basic necessities, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (The Fellowship) is spearheading a program to help ensure children will not be deprived of the school supplies many of their peers take for granted.

The program will see the distribution of 11,500 vouchers, each in the amount of 300 shekel, that can be used for purchases in the office and school supply chain store “Kravitz”. The effort has been made possible through the generosity of over 600,000 donors from around the world with the distribution of the vouchers to be carried out in partnership with 55 non-profit organizations located across Israel.
